Why Tinting Can Be A Better Option Than Microblading

If you want to give your eyebrows a more distinctive look, with greater colour and definition, there are quite a few options. In particular, you can choose between tinting and microblading.

The latter has had a lot of publicity in recent years and you won’t have to look far before encountering a story of a celeb who has had it done. But is it really a better option than tinting?

We would argue that it is, because it does offer a more versatile and cost-effective approach, as well as simply being more suitable for those who have dry skin and might find it is too sensitive for microblading.

Microblading involves making tiny cuts in the brow area and injecting ink into them, effectively acting like a tattoo, although it doesn’t last forever, with a life of up to three years. It does hurt a little at the time, though not usually a lot.

However, it will be sore afterward and it does have the disadvantage that you can’t expose it in the hot sun, which may not be a problem as we enter autumn here, but will if you have a late-year sunshine getaway planned.

By contrast, tinting lasts for just a few weeks and is painless. It also costs a fraction of a microblading treatment, so although you would need to have it done again if you want to maintain the look, you won’t need to find a large sum of money at one go – and you have the option of saving your money if you are short.

Apart from this greater flexibility, many experts, such as at Natural Beauty Uncovered, suggest this is a very good treatment for those who have fuller eyebrows to begin with.

None of that means microblading is a terrible idea or anything approaching it. But for a more affordable, skin-friendly option that is best for eyebrows that don’t need a massive amount done to them, tinting is the way to go.
